I receive daily many messages asking various questions regarding my commission process, my techniques, the materials I use, etc. I have compiled a F.A.Q. with all the answers and I update it regularly.
Meet the artist
My name is Daniel Jolicoeur, I work and live in the beautiful Outaouais region in the province of Quebec. I am a full-time professional artist, specializing in hyper-realistic style. I have been drawing and painting since a very young age, accumulating more than 40 years of experience in the field of visual arts. It’s always an honor for me to help animal lovers remember their beloved companions forever, by offering them a realistic portrait they can treasure and cherish for years to come.
The majority of my work comes from commissions and my clientele is located primarily in Quebec and across Canada. My goal is to capture this expression as well as this character that you recognize so well in your animal. Every year I like to meet animal lovers by participating in several pet fairs in Quebec and Ontario where I take the opportunity to offer my artistic services.
In my free time, I paint what I like in watercolour, acrylic and pastel.

I offer introductory courses in colored pencil at the Outaouais Retirees Academy (ARO).
